Purefume is a luxury perfume brand with a heritage deeply rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and personalization. Our story begins generations ago in the 19th century, in the Sikar District of Rajasthan, where our ancestors were esteemed traders and dealers of spices, grains, and aromatic compounds. Under the reign of Rao Raja Ram Pratap Singh (1834-1850), our great-grandfather, Late Shri Hari Baksh Ji Sharma, earned recognition for his ability to source and blend rare ingredients, gaining prominence in the royal courts of Rajasthan.
Later, for better business opportunities, our grandfather, Late Shri Makhanlal Ji Sharma, continued the family’s legacy by relocating to a small hill town called Shillong, (then a part of Assam) MEGHALAYA. Even in this new setting, he maintained the same dedication in trading of grains, spices and exotic aromatic compounds, ensuring that the family’s craftsmanship was passed down through the generations.

After our grandfather expired, his youngest son, Kailash Chandra Sharma entered into business at a young age of 16 years and took the business to new heights with the support and guidance of his elder brothers and opened new verticals in business.
Inspired by this rich family history, Sanjay Sharma set out to revive the lost family business with a modern vision. Thus, Purefume was born, carrying forward the legacy of sourcing and blending the finest ingredients but reimagining it within the world of luxury fragrances. Today, Purefume combines tradition with modern sophistication to create perfumes that embody elegance, exclusivity, and personalization.
Inspired by this rich family history, Sanjay Sharma initially relocated to Shillong, where he began supplying general goods to organizations like IIM and NIFT. However, this venture did not resonate with him. After the pandemic, during a visit to his sister in Rajasthan, he discovered that she was passionate about continuing the family’s aromatic compound business. This sparked Sanjay's own desire to revive the family legacy, and with a renewed vision, he founded Purefume. Today, Purefume combines tradition with modern sophistication to create perfumes that embody elegance, exclusivity, and personalization.
